In the beginning stages of building your home business one of the most fundamental things you learn how to do is make out your list and invite as many prospects as possible to view your presentation. What I have found is that most people don’t build initial momentum because they complicate the invitation process with fear, anxiety, and saying to much or just not saying anything all.

This is blog post is to help you get past the stages of “what do I say” and into the #1 profit producing activity… inviting new people to take look at your presentation.
BTW there are many approaches to invite a new prospect to view expose your business opportunity. This is what I’ve found to work for me. What also should be remembered is that…
First of all, always be busy. Even if you’re not, make sure you seem busy. It makes you look more attractive and it gives you an exit later in the coversation.
“Hey I have to get ready to run (remember you don’t have a lot of time you are busy), well this may or may not be for you but would you be open to a side project that doesn’t interfere with what you are currently doing to make some extra money?”
If they say “yes” most of the time they will ask “what is it?”. The wrong thing to do is to go into a conversation about what it is. Let the presentation do that for you.

All you need to say is “like I said, I have to run but if you write down your number and email and I’ll send you over some info to take a look at. It may or may not be for you and if its not, No Big Deal.”
One last thing. Before you run off make sure you schedule a time to follow-up.
Example: “If I send you that info within the next hour, when is the soonest you can take a look at it?” Let’s just say the said “3:00″. So then you ask them “how does 3:30 sound to get together, that way I can get any questions you may have answered? Once they agree, you leave and thats it!
The Most Important Part Of The Home Business Invitation
The most inportant things about this process is not the wordage, but it is feeling good and confident while you are inviting. This is so critical… Don’t allow your mind to be comsumed with fear and anxiety. If you do this you will often project fearful and negative vibrations to your prospects which will in turn make them send the same thing back to you.
How To Rid Yourself Of Fear Inviting Prospects
Practice thinking less of rejection and dissapointment. Replace these thoughts with pleasureable thoughts. Thoughts like how good it will feel when you reach your goal. What you will do when you reach your goal. How good it will feel to get recognition when you build your team. How proud your loved ones will be when you become successful.
If you keep this type of thinking at the forefront of your noggin, coming up with the words to say and how to say it will never be a road block that stops you from inviting mlm prospects to take a look at your home business opportunity.
“You can’t say the wrong thing to the right person and you can’t say the right thing to the wrong person.”

Nicely put Robin
I like the idea of being short on time coupled with the follow-up. That way you cover yourself from saying too much or not enough, which both can be negative towards your presentation.
Absolutely fantastic post! A lot of people get caught up in traffic numbers and things like that, but if we’re getting people to watch biz presentations, we’re making money! Thanks for reminding me what I should be spending my time on.

Being in a rush is always helpful. If I….would you….is an approach that works very well too. Overcome your fears or they will overcome you!

Hey Robin,
That’s dead on. Without targeted leads a home based business will not grow or even worse, it slowly dies.
Agreed 100%
